For the osmidrosis, there are many well know methods you can easily find by googling.

 

First one is subdermal excision. This is most famous and commonly perfoming method to treat.

It needs a 5-6cm cut at axilla and eliminates all the smelly glands by scissors.

After surgery the patient's axilla must be fixed and supposed not to move for at least 7 days.

Otherwise the skin will be rotten. But it's still preferred by some doctors.

Rate of success is almost 80% by this method.

 

The Second most popular method is glandular liposuction.

The difference between subdermal excision is only existence of cut.

The axilla will be fixed as long as subdermal excision.

Recurrence rate is similar or slightly higher than that of excision method.

 

The third method is what we use in our clinic.

We use Accusculpt laser for the treatment of osmidrosis.

This is performed only through needle holes and selectively destroys the glands.

Patients don't need to put any dressing materials.

It finishes in 10 minutes, and there is no pain at all.

But recurrence rate is slightly higher than subdermal excision, but re-touch is absolutely free of charge in our clinic.
