Rhinoplasty procedures and cost.

| Dear Teuim Clinic Doctors, I am considering going to your clinic hopefully next year July/August for surgery on my nose as I like what I have heard about rhinoplasty at your facility. I think my nose obstructs the harmony of my face. I feel it is low and wide and droopy - it does not suit my overall stature as I am a small person. All I hope is that an artificial implant can be avoided if possible to achieve a better appearance. If it is of any help, I would like to clarify that I am a Vietnamese female turning 19 years old next year. I would be grateful if you could take some time to assess my face and estimate the cost of the procedure(s) for rhinoplasty. Sincerely, Kat. |

I'm Dr. Cha, one of the Teuim Clinic Doctors and I perform rhinoplasty(nose surgery) professionally.
As you mentioned, I also think that your nose, especially the tip of your nose is bigger, wider and lower than ideal ratio of the beautiful nose.
In my thought, the dorsum of your nose needs be augmented by inserting an implant(it is usually made of silicone or Goretex). Without an implant, there is no effective and acceptable way to raise the dorsum. At some cases, the rib cartilage has been used for augmenting the dorsum, but that method should remain a linear and visible scar below the right side breast. So. I think that this method must be avoided in primary case or young woman. Of course, if you don't want an artificial impant, I will not use it. Another mothod recommendable for dorsal augmentation is fat graft or filler injection.
For the correction of the wide nasal tip, several procedures are performed.
I think that the case of your nose needs some complicated and elaborative procedures like as suture fixation technique, alar cartilage repositioning,ear cartilage graft for supporting and shaping the tip. For the better operative sight, those procedures are needed opened approach.(operative incision--> nostril incision + columella incision)
Anyway, it takes 7 days to finish the wound care including all stitches off. And the estimated fee is about 3,000 US$.
